Semi-automatic test system for accuracy testing (calibration and verification) of energy meters and instruments for electrical measurements (designed as a complete operator’s workbench controlled by PC software)

The test bench performs tests for simple or smart meters and provides expanded sets of measurements according to customer needs.

Basic types of tested equipment:
Single- and three-phase active and reactive energy meters of accuracy class 0.05 or less accurate including smart meters with integrated power quality measurement function (class S)
Single- and three-phase meters measuring active power, reactive power, phase angles, frequency, voltage, and current of accuracy class 0.05 or less accurate up to 120 A, 997 V (AC measurements) and up to 100 A, 600 V (DC measurements)
Measuring converters of voltage, current, active power, and reactive power of accuracy class 0.2 with unified output low-voltage signals (operating in the industrial frequency range)
Power quality analysers (compliant with Russian state standard GOST 32144) equipped with contactless current sensors up to 3000 A.


The test bench measures signals or generates signals with the specified values for:
Voltage, current, power (AC/DC)
Angles U–I, U–U
Harmonics (interharmonics) according to IEC 61000-4-7
Flicker (IEC 61000-4-15).

Manufacturers of energy meters, metrology labs of industrial enterprises, and Rosstandart entities use the MTS-ME 3.1KM-S as a working standard of AC power of the first grade (class 0.02) and second grade (class 0.05).

Multi-position test bench

The test bench can be equipped with a multi-position meter suspension rack STB (3/5/10/20/positions) for testing up to 20 devices at one time.

Environment monitor “ME-Service”

The set expands functionality of the test bench providing automatic generation of test reports according to ISO/IEC 17025-2009.
